THINGS ARE PROGRESSING EVEN WHILE I'M SICK

Even though I've been in my PJs all day and slept in most of the morning, from after breakfast to 11:10 am. The  windows are both in and only need another coat of paint on the trim and also need to be washed. I couldn't put back the pictures on the nails already there as they are not centered anymore.

Now I'll be able to hook in my Lazy-Boy chair as there is sufficient light to work by even on an overcast day. For this I'm so thankful. I also worked a bit on my Childhood Memories rug. I hadn't touched it for three days since my nose was so runny and stuffed up.

For some reason the burgundy ribbon looks black. I think that I was too far from the rug when I took the photo. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.  JB

  1. That is going to be such a neat rug Julia! Love to see the progress. I'm glad you are resting as much as you can. I know that is very hard to do living on a farm. I LOVE those windows. You are gonna love hooking by them! They look fantastic!

  2. Julia,
I'm sorry to read that you are still feeling bad. Get as much rest as possible so it doesn't get worse.

Those windows are lovely! What a great difference they have made! The room is so bright and cheerful now.

Your rug is coming along nicely! It is going to be a masterpiece when it's finished! The sled with the kids and dog is adorable!

  4. The windows look amazing - so bright and cheery. Continue to rest up, this virus seems to hang on for a few days. If you try to push it you will just postpone the recovery.
The rug is looking better and better!

  5. Julia, those windows just MAKE that room! I am amazed that the decorator who came to your house advised against them. They look beautiful! And I know you are going to love the natural ligting they provide for your hooking projects.

  8. Thank you all so very much for all your comments of encouragement on my Childhood Memories rug and your well wishes and comments on my new windows. you all bring rays of sunshine into my life and I appreciate it so much.
I'm still coughing a bit but I feel much better this morning. I went to work at the barn and did my chores some cleaning up that the men don't seem to do. I didn't get tired so I think that I'm on the mend. The cough will probably stick around for a while. I don't remember having such a bad cold in a long long time. JB

  9. Your windows look beautiful. I love how much light they add. Your rug is so pretty, you are quite a hooker.:) It looks more like a painting. I am glad you are resting. Thanks for your lovely comments too. Yes, the doctor watches the the spots, but I have no other symptoms. She said if I would just stay in the house they might go away on their own. I don't know if I could stay in the house.
I wanted to tell you about my voice. I have friend in England and we were on the phone and she said that I talk like Bambi. I don't say my vowels clearly and that is how I sound. She is very good with accents and listens so closely to people talk. She did ask me to read a book out-loud and record it because it made her feel so safe. I am quiet and no one ever shouts in our family, we all just get quieter.
I talk a lot more with my fingers.:)
Time to go outside and do my chores, I just wanted to check in and I will keep praying for you.
