NO PHOTOS TONIGHT

I was prepared to upload an update photo of my Childhood Memories rug and some other photos I took today. It will have to wait.  Blogger told me that I've ran out of free space to upload my photos and that I needed to buy some more space and that it may take up to 24 hours before my account is activated again.  So no pictures tonight. Lets hope that I'll have some space tomorrow.  Has this ever happened to you?  JB

  1. No Julia, but I send all of my pictures to the page they recommend for storing pictures. They are all stored there, I also have mine stored in Smile box, I hope they haven't changed something and it will be happening to me. I know I have uploaded lots and lots more pictures. I hope you get it worked out.

  2. Seriously? That has never happened to me. Seems kind of strange Julia. Are you reducing the res of your photos before posting? I have had my blog for a year and a half and never got that message.

  3. I'm not sure what is going on but I think that I always make my pictures extra large and it must be through Picasa. I'm pathetic when it comes to computer stuff. It only cost $5.00 for a year and up to 10,000 pictures. I just hope that it legit because I bought it on my Visa. I tried to upload some photos again and it still says that I have no more free space. JB

  4. Here's exactly what the message said. Whoops! You're out of space- Purchase more storage. Photos are stored in your Picasa Web Albums account and are included in your GB free quota for photos. Additional Storage you purchase is shared between Gmail, Picasa Web Album and Google Docs and is in addition to your quota. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens in the next 24 hours... 5. Hello I just found you tonight from Kims site and I too have been on here for over a year and never have I received anything like this. That is really strange. I hope they are not going to start charging us for putting pictures on our sites. I really hate you had to do this
I am looking forward to being a new follower of your

  6. Hi Julia,
I've never had that happen and I've been here for more than a year. But I don't use those web albums, I just upload directly from the My Pictures program and use Irfanview (a free download program) to size them down so they don't take up much space.
Glad you posted this so the rest of us can be aware.

  7. Hi Julia,
You might try Photobucket too for uploading your photos. It's free. But like others have said to size them down in something like photoshop before uploading them to the web. Hope you can get it straightened out without problems. We'd all be in trouble if Blogger starts charging us for photos!

  9. Julia I just read over at threepixieland.blogspot.com where she had gotten the same message.
I haven't ever heard of it until this morning and now two of you. I'm not sure what to think.

  10. Thanks everyone for your comments. I just tried upload photos on my blog again and still can't. It says that it can take up to 24 hours before I can upload so I'll wait it out. In the mean time I want to welcome Maggie from Grandma Yellow Hair to my blog. I'm sorry that you came on board when I was experiencing some problems. In the mean time you can read some of my earlier posts. I started blogging in August 2, 2010 and I'm fairly new at navigating computers. JB

  11. Maybe I'll have to get Bill send you the script that he wrote for me to re-size pictures.
And Football the calf sounds like a quarterback! What a loud baby! I wonder if she is going to be a handful when she gets older!

  12. Jackie, So you met my little quarterback. She's a handful but she eats well now so is no trouble. I had to make a net to keep her from trying to get out from her pen. I need another wooden block to prevent her from going through the opening. She kept taking my barrier I had made for her with the jacket. The two larger calves were moved finally today and not a day too soon for me. Mom
