I HAD TO LEAVE HIM BEHIND

I'm back home finally and haven't been to the barn yet and I know that I'll have a big mess to clean up as I hear that my babies have grown and have been into mischiefs in my absence. Yep, they got out one night and open the small gate by lifting up and tearing it out of it's hinges and got into things that they were not supposed to and in the powdered milk replacer and made a lot of messes.  My husband has cleaned some of the bigger mess and left the minor one for me. And they don't wear diapers like my cute little grandson that I left behind in Ottawa. I miss him all ready.

Little James sitting in a Babysan vibrating and singing chair
I love the little cow label on his sleepers. Sleeping so peacefully.
He's very alert and is listening to mama talking to him.
Bath time is always a shared responsibility.
Having some quality time with James, my little man.
How the heck can he sleep so peacefully in that gas relieving position.
The cat has claimed the box that the stroller came in and is watching James having all the attention gracefully.
Are we still complaining of all the snow we are still having?
These photos were  FWD to me by my sister Delcina. These were from Lead South Dakota January 5th 2011 of 1-90 close to Rapid City near the Wyoming border. I don't know the authors but must have come from the web.

I feel for those folks and hope that the snow melts slowly enough so that they don't experience a flood.
Thanks for your patience at waiting for my return. Wishing you all a speedy spring with lots of flowers poking out of the ground.  JB

  1. Julia, it's so good to have you back!
I know you will miss the little one terribly!!! He is so precious!
I think your little cows must have missed you since they are behaving like naughty children. And now Mom has to come home and clean up their mess.
That is a lovely cat your daughter has.
The snow pictures are amazing. A few days ago our snow had all melted and then yesterday we got another storm with 10 inches of snow.

What wonderful pictures of baby James! He looks so content sleeping on your chest. I'm sure you will miss him but how wonderful you got to share the first few weeks of his life with him!
Now it's back to reality and you have four-legged babies to look after.

  10. Yay you are home! James is such a sweetie. Love the pic of him looking and listening so carefully at his momma. And sleeping so peacefully on his Nanna.
I had a good laugh at the cows causing trouble while you were gone. They missed you too.

  11. So glad you are home now, I know you will miss being with your grandson. He is so cute. Too bad about your calves. I can just see them putting their heads under the gate and lifting like they do. I hope when you go out there it isn't as bad as you though.
I hope you make it back to a routine easy.

  13. Hi every one, thanks for all the comments. It's good to be back to my regular routine but I get tired easier. All I've been doing for the last 5 weeks was sitting down most of the time holding James. My muscle tones are weaker. I still have tons of pictures that my daughter put on a stick but for some reason I can't upload them on my computer. JB

  14. Little James is so pretty with the most beautiful complexion .
I hope your clean up is not to stressful.Cow babies must have gone looking for you.
    Happy our snow is gone.
Those people up North really got it, how do they coop with all that. I suppose it will melt and come down the Missouri River, hopefully not to much at a time.

  17. Me too, Julia...so glad to see you back!! That precious baby had to be hard to leave...I hope they get to visit you back again soon! The picture of you holding him is just too sweet! And the one of him with his dad on the floor is fun! I guess I'd better quit complaining about how much snow we have, huh? Tomorrow we are supposed to get 8 inches on top of 1 inch of ice that's coming tonight. As long as the electricity is on...we can take it.
Sounds like you are doing a lot of catching up...those rascal cows...you don't realize what they can get into! Have a blessed day and again, glad you are back!!
