VISITING PARTICE ON HER PORCH

It's Wednesday already and time to go visit Patrice on her porch. I'm not as bright and early as last week but I'm getting there. Yup....... I overslept this morning. I just rolled around on my side and fell back asleep and was 15 minutes late for work.

If you haven't been to Patrice's blog today, it's worth it just to go see a priceless photo of Wendell, her horse.
 Here are today's questions :

Questions:
  1. Do you prefer wallpaper or paint?                I used to love wallpaper but the honeymoon is over, now,  I prefer paint. No more wallpaper for me.
  2. What qualities make a good friend?  Integrity, dependability, tolerance and humorous
  3. Are you planning a summer vacation? What is a vacation? I need to look it up in a dictionary.
  4. Do you have a garage, carport, park on the street or park in your driveway? I have a garage and my car is usually parked in it but not this week as we are using the garage to organize storage.
  5. Tell me something interesting about your week. (oops- please).    I'm caring for a wounded older calf who went where she was not supposed to go and got herself wedged in a precarious position and tried to escape and ended up injuring her right front thigh. We had to cut bars to the feeder to free her.
Thanks for the questions Patrice. Ask wendell what kind of tooth paste does he use?  His teeth are so white........  Have a great week .

Hugs,  JB

I'm just adding this from last year photos for a color splash to brighten my day.
I'm still trying to navigate the new Blogger and had difficulty finding the Edit button.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.  Have a wonderful rest of the week.  JB

  1. Hi Julia, Love your answers to all of the questions. Hope your calf gets well. It's awful to lose a critter that you have been around for a while. I still am having a problem with the new blogger - when it "ain't broke" don't fix it.
    Hugs, Doris

  2. Sorry that my post looks so lame. As you can see I had some difficulties finding the edit and then the publish etc, etc. I like the old Blogger much better as it was easy to find everything. Grrrr. JB

  3. Oh today was the worst day ever. You can guys how hard it was to get a post and then it was one thing after another. I was ready to quit blogging forever. Thankfully my son came in at the perfect moment. I will say I broke it really good. I also had to buy more space. That was what started the whole ordeal. 4 hours I was on trying to fix it.
I liked all of your answers. How nice you are organizing. That is a good reason to leave your car out of the garage.
I hope your calf gets better.
Yeah, once you strip wallpaper it looses some of it appeal. The only time I though it was neat was when my Mom and Grandmother were stripping it in a old farmhouse. It was like a backwards timeline. So neat to see those old, old patterns.
Sorry my comment is so long. Something finally worked. :)

  7. I hope your poor calf is doing better. My goodness, your farm animals get themselves in some tricky situations! Blogger changes are never good. Why do they keep messing with it?

  8. Julia, There is always something interesting happening on your farm. Hope the calf is doing well. I don't understand why they (whoever they are) keeping changing blogger. It took me a bit, but I finally find the button to return to the old format, keeping my fingers crossed that it remains that way. Hugs, Julie.

  11. I have to agree with you, Julia, about wallpaper. I too used to like it, but pretty much hate it now. Paint is so much easier to clean and it just looks fresher to me, somehow.

I'm sorry I got behind on your blogs. I just haven't felt well enough to sit at the computer the last couple of weeks. I am still feeling awful and am wondering if I will ever get over this bronchitis. I am so darned weak and all I do is cough.

A bit of color really does help in a day. I got two beautiful arrangements to light up my life. They are still absolutely lovely three days after my birthday. They are both HUGE though. Almost too big for me room. One has hydrangeas, roses, carnations, daisies and some purple flowers that I don't know. The other is a dozen of very long stem red roses. I put them on the floor in front of my entertainment center so that I have a really good view of them from my chair. It's amazing how they do help to keep my spirits up.

Don't you just hate it when they change anything on the computer? I just get familiar with things and then they change. I am not good at trying to learn new things on the computer. Oh well, I usually find a way, with help sometimes from Dick or Sue.

I do hope your calf is on the mend and will recover completely soon. Seems like there is always something happening around your place. I'm sure it's never a dull moment for you.

Love you Julia, thanks for being such a good blogger friend.

  12. I am disappointed, because your blog is a ray of sunshine in the blogging world. But I respect your right to choose what you put on it. It is a nice blog.

  13. I too love wallpaper BUT I paint now. It is far easier to remove when I change my mind!! LOL!
We have a garage that was built in the 1920's so-o-o-o it is a place where we keep out garden equipment as it is too small for a modern auto like my SUV!!
No summer vacation ..... DH is a long distance trucker & he travels enough for a living & I am perfectly content on staying home with DH & Our Boyz!!
    Have a Great Weekend!!
