I learn a new trick on the computer today. I was looking for a suitable picture of a dragon slayer that was public Domain but only found one dragon slayer picture on a postal stamp and so I thought that instead I'd use my own Dragon Wing Begonia that sits by my front door. Close enough, but the slayer is still miles away...... and while I was playing with the photo I even discovered how to type on the picture quite by accident. Now I'll be playing with this some more when I have time but first I have to bake some soft molasses cookies for hubby since it's such a dreary day.
Thanks for coming by and stay warm and dry.

Lovely flower Julia :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim, I thought that you would appreciate them on such a gloomy day. :)
ReplyDeleteI would like a nice gloomy day to sit and eat soft molasses cookies. My favorite by the way. Your flowers are enjoying the rain.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to a nice rainy day...in November if I am lucky. Our rainy season is in February. That is why it is so pretty where you and Kim live and why you have such beautiful Peony bushes. Stay warm.
That is a pretty begonia! Sadly most of my flowers didn't do as well this year so I didn't take pics of them. Hubby assured me he was watering them and when I checked after they were limp and brown they were dry as the desert. So I told him no way had he watered them. He said yes he did - he watered the ones in the back! Ummm - what about the ones in the front. Big silence and then said he forgot about those. :( Oh well, there's always next year right! I hope all is going well with you! You're always so, so busy with the farm and all! Take care!

That's a nice way for me to go to sleep thinking of begonias and dragon slayers ... I like dragons though so boo hiss on the slayer
This is one of my very favourite flowers. I love it! Thanks! Here, they are also called Angel-Wing Begonias. Same...still love them!
ReplyDeleteHave you looked on PhotoBucket for images? Sometimes I utilize them for images.
Have a good week! Hugs.
Your begonia is beautiful! I love baking on cool, wet days too. Hubby appreciates it too..and he would love a soft molasses cookie! Staying warm is no problem this week..it's hot and humid but I hear relief is coming!
ReplyDeleteMolasses Crinkles are my husband's favorite cookie, too, but it's still to warm to bake here. Love your begonia. Sarah
