Not a single trick or treater again this year in our neighbourhood and it's raining. The closest thing that feels like Halloween are these photos that my daughter Christine sent me tonight of James and Daniel, herself and her husband Joe. This is a family who really knows how to enjoy Halloween.
Christine and Daniel in their costumes
Joe and James at the agriculture museum
James going to the Agriculture museum Sorry, the photos are out of sequence.
Joe and James putting googly eyes on his pumpkin. James loves googly eyes. Can you tell?
So many pumpkin to choose from. James pulling on a pumpkin wagon
James the little tiger loves Halloween and has been very excited all week about the whole thing.
Daniel and James digs this green pumpkin.
Pooh Bear versus Sqully. Daniel seems to prefer Pooh.
A Martian pumpkin
James resting on a pumpkin. Looking for just the right pumpkin can be very tiring.
Wow, that looks like a big pumpkin in the foreground while James is still resting. Pumpkins makes the best seat don't you think?
Mommy and James looking like cute pumpkins too in the sunny reflection.
Christine made this costume for Joe to represent Kevin Flynn of the Movie Tron but the picture doesn't do it justice. Light can really play tricks in photography.

I hope that you all had a Happy and Safe Halloween.
Good night and thanks for visiting and leaving a comment.

What a great Halloween post! I think Halloween is all about having fun..not taking it too seriously...and candy and pumpkins! Your family does know how to do it right! I love all the costumes and those little ones are so cute. Our trick or treat got cancelled because of the rain and wind...it's on Sat. so hopefully my Grands will get some fun too! Happy Halloween Julia! Oh, I need to tell you that I did get your scarf and we gave scarves out this week. I'll have a post about it soon.
ReplyDeleteSame here raining and not a single trick or treater. My daughter had some fun with her little one too.

What amazing Halloween preparations! Those grandsons are really cute! Yes, it is necessary to have a good resting place when one becomes tired while trying to choose the perfect pumpkin.:-) We had eight come by tonight, all from our street. They were very cute!
ReplyDeleteJulia, I really appreciate all the comments you make on my blog! You are a faithful visitor!
Happy Halloween!
Great pictures. I love Halloween and seeing the little kids all excited and dressed up.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! Those boys get cuter every time you post about them.
ReplyDeleteLove the cool carved pumpkins. So creative.
Hugs :)

Julia, you have the cutest grandkids! They are adorable! We don't get trick or treaters here either...so I guess I'll just have to eat all the candy myself! :)
ReplyDeleteLots of fun Halloween pictures and what adorable Grandkids you have there Julia!! Sorry about the rain, kinda puts a damper on trick or treating.
ReplyDeleteOh, what fun memories were made last night. They all looked great all dressed up. James and Daniel looked adorable in their little costumes. We didn't have rain nor trick or treaters. We have not seen tick or treaters on our street for many years. Love all the pictures and thanks for sharing them. Have a wonderful weekend sweet Julia. Hugs
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone is having a fun time this Halloween! So many pumpkins! We've had more trick or treaters this year than we've had in a long time... thank goodness there's not much candy left in this house... lol!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like everyone had a fun time. Little kids is what it is all about. Nice that Mom and Dad dress up too. No trick or treaters and no candy here but that is O.K. with me.
ReplyDeleteOh, that was fun! Holidays are always fun with kids! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
ReplyDeletewow, they are so creative! really cute, too! your heart must melt when you see these photos. :)
ReplyDeleteWow how cool those costumes are awesome. I will have to show my son the Tron costume. I love the pictures of the babies and the pumpkins. I am so glad you shared the photos, I can't believe how much the baby has grown.
ReplyDeleteWhat cute pictures. Baby Daniel is really growing. What a cute shot of him behind the pumpkins. Love the googly eyed pumpkin and of course Mickey Mouse. Looks like they have a lot of fun things to do where they live. Happy Halloween.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics of a really fun family Halloween. My goodness Daniel has gotten big! The lads are as cute as ever...and Mom's new haircut is very becoming. We had many kids come knocking this year. Some of our neighbors decorate as much as Christmas, so it is always fun and festive.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend,
Robyn
So sweet. That adorable family sure knows how to celebrate Halloween. The boys are growing fast
ReplyDeleteYour quiet Halloween sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThis year was the tamest we've had in quite a many,
the boys all doing their haunting in other places
except for a peaceful time of carving and eating my
chicken tortilla soup.....hubby and I even got to enjoy
a movie together in between candy-giving to the littles
who were few this year.
I needed a less dramatic Halloween for a change
(years past had my kids on the roof in full costume
and flashlights and haunted woods in the back and
general mahem.....quite a jolt to the mama nerves:)).
Hope your November is wonderful, dear Julia,
Jennifer
oh my goodness, Julia... how adorable! what fun they had... a green pumpkin? hahaaa
ReplyDeleteNo one came around here either ... not one. I think the kiddos have school sponsored activities these days... to many evil doers... sigh
Oh the boys look darling. I love the costumes.Great pictures
