DON'T YOU JUST HATE IT WHEN...

Today was  a very good day. I slept unusually well and only woke up once around 3:00 a.m. and went right back to sleep after a trip to know where... At 5:00 a.m. I was wide awake and jumped out of bed... well that may be a little exaggerated... I got vertical,  made my bed went to the bathroom ... brushed my teeth etc. I usually wake up around 6:30 and turn on the other side  and sometimes I'm too tired to get up and fall back asleep and get up in a panic... cause I'm late for work.

Today, Sunday I was ahead of the game. Got my Swiffer and dusted the floors in two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two hallways and the stairs. I folded some laundry and put another load of socks and under-wares  in the dryer, checked my emails and blog and did all this in my PJs while my husband snored in the other room. I put on my work clothes and went to the farm to do my chores and shortly after my husband George came to help me. After the chores my husband and I  went to our favorite restaurant for breakfast with friends we hadn't seen for a while and then we went went to church as usual.

Why was I so up-beat you ask?...  I'm not 100% sure but it must be because today I was going to meet Heidi Wulfratt  of London-Wul  at Yarns on York here in Fredericton for a Summer wind up knit-in with knitters from all over. I didn't had any knitting to work on but met some people who knows my daughter and took courses from her or bought her scarves or dyed wool etc.  I had a great time and was amazed at all the beautiful yarns there was to choose from and the variety of knitting project and a sweet little 5 weeks old baby in the mix.

Actually I got the buzz from Heidi about this event  and she said that she'd be there around 2 ish so I arrived around that time.  I wanted to take pictures for my blog but in my haste, I left my camera in my office  and only realized that I  didn't had it with me when I went to reach for it in my purse. Nobody was taking pictures. Don't you just hate it when that happens?

I was so happy to see Heidi again however that it really didn't matter. We had a lengthy conversation, laughed and exchanged several hugs and it made my day very special. Unfortunately I had to return to work around 4:00pm but happy I went.  Hope that you all had a safe trip back home Heidi and friends. JB
