I was searching for a specific photo of my Mom and Dad when they were young married, but couldn't find it on my computer. I've sent a note to my sister for help. She's the guardian of the family photos and keep all the family addresses and contacts etc up to date. Everyone should have at least someone in their family to do this job. And since our family is so large, someone should pay her to do this job, really.
While searching for the photo in question I came upon these photos so since I don't want to be up all night, I'll just post them here to share with my friends. My Mom and Dad at the nursing home celebrating Christmas
My dad having a good day at the nursing home with my mom by his side.
My dad before he slipped into a coma and my mom at his side at the hospital.
My mom feeling a bit warm and flashing in the small kitchen in the Palliative care unit at the hospital. That's about how my mom was most of the time, never down. She was so genuine, you can see it in her eyes.
My dad in a coma and mom always by his side wishing there something she could do to help him.
My mom at 16 and Dad at 20 and very much in love.
Thanks for putting up with me but I wanted to add these photo on my blog for my family.
Thanks for visiting and leaving comments. JB
I LOVE that photo on the bicycle. You can just tell by the way your Mom is looking at him that she thought he was the "cat's pyjamas"!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your last comment. It does complicate things when Auntie is sick but we still manage. With all the modern techmology I am able to work from home a little of I have to. I'll monitor things and see how the rest of the week goes. At least I know that is an option for a few days.
Kim
PS - Thanks for sharing stories about your parents.
Wonderful family album. I still say Julia, that you are very rich. Rich in love, rich in family, and rich in life. Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteJulia, the pictures of your Mom and Dad show the happiness that seems to be so much a part of your family. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love the old photo! What a wonderful lifetime of love!!!
Your Mom looks like a fun loving, care giving, beautiful woman.. dedicated to her hubbie and life in general.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone for reading my blog and leaving comments.
ReplyDeleteKim, I'm so glad that you have the flexibility of working at home when necessary. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you or your mom don't get sick.
Doris, my life has had it's up and down like everyone else even though the picture I painted looks rosy, relationships are made up of more than one family and there is usually a mixture of the good, the bad and the ugly in every extended families.
Pat, my mom always tried to made the best of any situations and was cheery most of the time. She would get up at 6:00 am every morning and listened to her french program on TV, Evangelization 2000 to start her day on the right foot and went back to bed after the program was over even when she was sick and weak. She got her strength from that.
Jacqueline, my mom was always fun to be around , she took everything with a grain of salt and didn't take herself too seriously. JB
Your Mom had the best eyes and such a happy lady, She is just beautiful at 16 and they look so happy on the bike. I am so glad you shared them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim, (Farm Girl) She was a lovely lady all around. JB
