STUPID IS THAT STUPID DOES... & UPDATE ON RUG

I'm back in business. I've got my Picasa purchased space working and I got my confirmation email with my order number. The fault was with me because I had omitted to click on a small button to process my order. It was late at night and I was rather tired. I waited for 24 hours to pass like it said and then I knew for sure that I must have screwed up on my purchase. For one thing you are supposed to enter your credit card number without spaces or dashes and I added spaces. I changed my mode of payment and retyped the number without spaces and all the rest of the info that I had typed was still there. As soon as I send it out  I got my confirmation number and my Picasa Purchased Space again. I'm happy to have made another little step in the computer age.

Now here is the fruit of my labor ( computer wise). I  now can show you my little progress.  If I stayed off the computer in my spare time, I'd get a lot more done but I love commenting on blogs....

Welcome to my two new followers Maggie and Christie.

Thanks for all your comments everyone and standing by me in my misery...  Have a great day.   JB

  1. Well, I am happy to know it wasn't a scam. I wasn't so sure..... Great progress - especially love the cow! I amazed you are doing this all in a #3 cut. Ohh, the patience you must have.
I have made zero progress this week so far. Last night, when I could (should) have been hooking, I blog surfed.

  2. I love how your rug is coming along and can't wait to see how you do the transitions in the background between the seasons....do you already have a plan for that or are you flying by the seat of your pants?

  3. Thanks Kim, The cow is in #4 cut and the smaller details are in #4 and the ribbon is in #6. I went on Google and checked out the problem and it's not a new thing, paying for Picasa album space. I'm glad that it's wasn't a scam too.

Thanks Tammy,I'm flying low by the seat of my pants and will soon wear a hole in them. lol JB

  6. Hi Julia,I am so glad your back! I need to work on my rug but I have been busy packing to move and putting up decorations. I am curious since I use picassa will I eventually have to purchase space on my picassa site which I use for my blog? Also which cutter do you use for your wools? Cheri

  7. Hi Elieen, thanks for your comment and visiting my blog. I wish I was more faithful on my hooking too but I always seem to choose other work and computer land instead. I'm realizing that I can't do it all but I'm having fun trying....

Cheri, Thanks. I use a Bliss cutter with #3, #4, #6 wheel and I need a # 5 but I have a rotary cutter and a large dressmaker ruler to cut a #5. I also use the rotary cutter for some beautiful wool I bought that was 83% wool and 17 % nylon. It doesn't work well with the cutter as it doesn't cut all the way through like the cutter does on 100% wool. I would have to tighten the wheel more and the cutting blades would get damage from pressing so hard against the metal under the wheel. I hope it makes sense to you. JB

  8. Julia what a beautiful rug you are hooking, it reminds me of a Currier and Ives photograph. I too should spend more time on my hooking and other household duties,it is so difficult to do so with so many wonderful blogs to read. Thank you for the comments on my blog, I have now added you to my sidebar. Blessings to you, Julie of Dog Trot Farm

  12. Julia your rug is coming beautifully. I find it impossible to hook details unless I use a #3 cut - guess because I have used it all of my hooking life. So glad you have pictures again. This is such a busy time of year - hardly any time to hook altho I am in the process of hooking Xmas tree ornaments. Love reading your blog each day - I too spend a lot of time reading blogs! It is a thief of time!!!!
