Today was a rather busy day and I was away from my computer. I usually check my emails about 5 times a day and it doesn't take long to go through the comments. But I found out tonight that it took me quite a while to do it all in one block of time.

This morning I checked my emails and started to type my comment in reply to the Daily Discussion.
I 'm usually pretty calm about anything so I thought that if I won the lottery I wouldn't rush into spending it right away. I wouldn't change anything in my rug studio right away either.  I  thought that if I won the lottery I'd buy a lot of dyed wool from Liz Smith who just opened a dyed wool studio and some dyed wool from April D. Deconick. I wasn't sure if I was spelling April's last name correctly so I closed my RHD comment page to check the spelling. When I returned to my email I saw a comment posted by Kim Jones on my blog asking if I had seen Red Jack blog this morning. I hadn't  so I checked it out before resuming typing my comment. I was in for a big surprise. I was announced the winner of  Followers of Red Jack new website. I wasn't as calm as I like to think of myself. I was so excited, you'd think that I really won a million dollars.

I buy a lots of lottery tickets for charity and never win any of them so this came as a total surprise. It mad me feel so lucky to win one of April's dyed wool palette. You never know when lady luck comes knocking at your door. Now I can't wait to see the palette. I'm still on cloud nine.  JB

  1. Lol. I kept stalking april's blog comments to see your reaction, then I couldn't resist giving you a hint to check. Heehee
P.s. Thanks for worrying about me yesterday after the mysterious disappearing ranting post.

  2. So cool Julia!! You have the most interesting titles to your blogs. I can feel your excitement (or other emotions) as I read your postings. Congratulations on winning. Now we look forward to seeing what you won and how you use it in your projects. /Deb

  3. Thanks Kim and Deb. I've connected with April and she' sending the color palette next week. I can't wait to see it. I asked for green if she has enough of that palette to spare. I think that I could use an assortment of green in my new childhood memories rug which I still yet have to design, but it's in the work.

Deb, the titles just magically appears as soon as I sit at the keyboard. JB

  4. Welcome to my blog Corinne, I hope that you enjoy ed your visit and come back for a visit as often as you like. JB
