I've been so busy, even too busy to get a photo of the flood but it's official. We are flooded once again. My husband was away and I got a call from my daughter asking how we were and wether we had water in the basement. I went to check and the water was just coming in so I turned the sump pump on and attached the extension on the pipe outside so my flower bed would not all wash away.
I'm so tired, I just going to bed and hope that we won't float away. I really don't care at this point. I'm that tired. The water is over the lanes so we are an island at the moment. I'll give an update tomorrow sometime. JB
Oh Julia I am so sorry, I saw that on the weather report tonight and I was hoping that you would be above the water. I will be praying for you tonight. I hope you can sleep and rest.
ReplyDeleteOh Julia, I am soooo sorry. I know what you mean about being tired. I will pray for you and your home. double hugs Cheri
ReplyDeleteOh Julia...so sorry! I know what you are feeling as my basement at home in Indiana floods ALL the time. Thinking of you!

I am so sorry. Flooding is a pain in the neck. We were having problems all over our area last spring. Sump pumps were on everywhere and most houses had a hose spilling water out to the street. The clean up is exhausting. I hope you don't get too much damage.
ReplyDeleteYou're in my thoughts.
Courtney
I hope that you don't lose anything that is dear to you. I am so sorry get I hope you can get the rest you need. thinking of you

Julia,
ReplyDeleteIt's so distressing for this to happen again! I'm so sorry to hear this.
I hope you don't get any more bad weather to add to problem.
Please keep us informed if you have time.
My thoughts are with you!
I'm so sorry to hear this Julia. Prayers are with you and your husband for your strength during this all, and this is the last of it!
ReplyDeleteSorry Julia. I know this is the last thing you need. I hope it recedes quickly and damage is minimal.
ReplyDeleteJulia I don't know what to say honey. This is horrible news and I feel so bad for you. I am really sorry your going through this and wish I could do something for you.
ReplyDeleteI just pray you get some relief and soon.
Take care of you my friend
Love
Maggie
Sorry to hear about that Julia, I know how you feel. Its happened to me before and I can imagine how tired you are from not much sleep. I kept saying to myself...there's worse things that could happen. Like not being able to hook anymore, lol. Hang in there Julia
ReplyDeleteSorry about the flooding, I hope things are better today and that the water goes away!

Julia ~
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the flooded basement. I hope nothing of value was still down there.
Here's hoping the water recedes quickly.
Hugs :)

Oh my goodness again. I am sorry, Just be safe during it and I hope things get better for you.
ReplyDeleteOh Julia I am so sorry to hear this, what a pain this has to be. Please stay safe and know we here in blogland are praying for you. Sending blessings, Julie.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that, Julia. I don't live in a flood zone, but I fear it anyway. One nasty experience left my basement freezer jacked up a foot, where it stays, even though it makes access awkward, in case flooding ever happens again. I hope your flood subsides quickly.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear this. We've all been under the weather this week with bad colds and I didn't catch the news or hear about the flooding until today. I hope you're okay.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
Dear Julia,
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine what you must be going through. The floods are so widespread it seems and so many people are affected. I pray you can maintain your strength and your family and animals stay safe too!
Hugs!

So sorry to hear that, I'll pray for you and your family. Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteYou know that we have just had one (flooded basement) too so I can truly sympathize!! Wish I was there to give you a hand....I know how to mop well!! Hugs...hope it's not too bad!!
ReplyDeleteOh Julia, I hope everything is going to be okay for you. the that I most often use is called Verel. It is usually a lt. rose color, but this one I ordered in burgandy. It is really soft and I love to use it. I always use a no. 4 cut when I hook. Then only thing is sometimes it is hard to work on at night because the sharpie doesn't show up really great. It is also great for proddy if you want to leave a lot of it as is, and just do a flower basket or something.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much everyone about your concerns. There are always someone worst off than we were. Thankfully we didn't had to move the cattle.
ReplyDeleteThe water level has dropped and although we are not pumping anymore, I haven't had time to clean my basement and sanitize it. Too much going on this week with cleaning at the farm etc. Sorry for not being around much lately. I appreciate all your comments. JB
