ReplyDeleteOh I love fresh vegetables. I live in the woods so can't even grow tomatoes like before when I lived elsewhere. But went to a local farmer and for lunch had local white corn and fresh garden tomatoes for lunch. OMG, was delicious.
ReplyDeleteYay!!!!! So exciting!!! Especially the cabbage and onions. I killed my onions I think. Sad times. I pulled up my radishes last week and 2 carrots, had a few strawberries and raspberries too!x

ReplyDeleteOh, yum! And sugar peas! My favourite! I can eat those like popcorn! I am sure that is exciting. We didn't get a garden put in this year. Between the rain and Bill's driving, it didn't happen. For the first time in thirty+ years! Enjoy the fruits (and veggies) of your hard work, my friend. You earned it! HUGS!

ReplyDeleteFun to get that first picking! With all our rain I'm not sure when we'll see our tomatoes and green beans. The peppers are almost ready and the carrots will have the rest of the summer to mature. I'll buy most of my fresh veggies from the Farmer's market the rest of the season. Enjoy those delish pickings!
