THINGS THAT PUTS SMILES ON MY FACE IN THIS RAINY WEATHER

It's been raining and raining here this week too and I managed to get one section of my garden weeded when the sun came out for a short time last evening. I weeded till 9:20 pm and it got dark. That brought a smile on my tired face.

The cool weather and the rain is making my crabapple blossoms to last a lot longer this year. They are so beautiful that it brings a smile on my old face. I took this picture yesterday when the rain stopped for  short time.

I love those blossoms. Just can't get enough of them.

Isn't Mother Nature grand. Thank you Mother Nature, they are beautiful.

My daughter picked, clean, blanched and froze 6 bags of nice fat fiddleheads for me. Now that brings another smile on my greedy face.

I've been begging for a genuine smile from Daniel. Today my daughter Christine sent me some photos in an email.  Now that's a genuine smile and it's catchy because it has caused me to smile the biggest smile of all. Thanks Christine.

Here's another one for good measure.

Seeing updates of James also is cause for smiling.  Hope his dad has picked up playing his guitar again.

It's good enough for another smile. I hope that my post has caused you to smile on a dreary day. I Hope that you are keeping dry.

My  blogger friend Kim is celebrating her birthday today and that should make her smile. It does me. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kim.  http://milliesmat.blogspot.com/

Having 142 followers  is cause to smile too. Thanks for visiting and keep on smiling.

Happy Memorial Day on Monday to my American friends.

TIME FLIES WITH DIAPER CHANGES

ThIt hard to  believe that I've already been here a whole week. I'm busy with sharing time between James and baby brother and time goes fast. I've managed to take a lot of photos and I have to share some here.

James love to have books read to him.

I've noticed that James like to invent ways to play with his favorite toys.  He carried his stuffed puppies in this wagon around and dumped them and placed the wagon on his head and ran around the kitchen with this funny hat.

Sunday we visited the Museum of Science in Ottawa and James knows the place and knows how to get the door to open.

He wants to listen to the voice on the phone.

He love to look at the first Bombardier snowmobile

This rotating display drum of the construction of a canoe just fascinated him and he kept turning it.

There were three big train engines in the museum and james love the trains.

He loves to look in the fire chamber. There's a red light but it doesn't shows up in the picture.

James is also fascinated by big wheels and was showing me.

In the play room he loved to demolish any structures made out of light weight boxes. He just plowed through it.

He loves pushing a button that makes the train model run.

The distorting mirrors were also a big attraction.

There were many models of cars on display but this one was hands on so he wanted to climb onboard.

Wheels and levers, what fun...

He could have played for hours going through these dimly lit tunnels.  The flash on my camera really lit it up. Here we were on our way out of the tunnels and down the stairs so daddy is carrying him.

Today was baby brother first visit to the doctor office for first checkup and i carried the heavy cargo.

Sorry Christine, I cut off the top of your head. Not one of my beat shot...

Waiting to see the doctor seems not to be bothering this little guy.

The scale says 7 lbs 12 oz. He has gained back 4 ounces since he was discharged from the hospital and eats a lot and often so in no time he will have gained all that weight back.

Uncle Al came to bring a gift for little brother but also brought a nice Thomas train set for James which was a big hit.

Playtime in James tent and he was having a lot of fun with me. James wanted me to pretend I was sleeping and snoring and then he would say Wake up, wake up. He has learned to sing all the verses to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

I have tons of other  photos but too many to share. This Nanny is very tired and is heading to bed. My photos took so long to upload and robbed me of some of my blogging time. I'll try to visit your blogs whenever I can find some spare time.
Thanks so much for your wonderful comments.

GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS IN HIS TIME

In my last post I  mentioned that I was getting things ready to sell my bisque. I have boxes and boxes all labeled and  I wasn't even finished pricing them  today but I was almost done.  I was waiting to finish pricing and I was planning to advertise the bisque sale.

This is only one section of boxed bisque. This picture appeared in my last post...

On Saturday a lady who used to be a customer of mine 10 years ago, called me looking to purchase some ceramic glazes and acrylic paints as there are no dealers in our city and she had to order some from Toronto and the shipping is very costly for a small studio and the paint and glazes are pricy too. She wanted to start teaching ceramic again.

I gave her an appointment for  today and she looked at all my boxed bisque and she bought it all. I never would have thought that she'd be the one to buy my bisque. She knew the quality of my bisque however and didn't hesitated. Her husband gave her his blessing and we shook hands on the deal. She was all smile.

It will be here for a little while until she can move it all to her place. I gave her a great deal that she couldn't refuse. We were both happy. God did listen to my prayers and he answers them in his time and I'm thankful.  Thank You Jesus.

If we ask and believe with all our heart, it will happen... not always in the way we envision but it will happen in God's time, with patience.

When my basement was full of  thousands of heavy plaster molds for ceramic and every studios had closed in my area, I was stuck with thousands of molds and no one was interested in buying. I asked Jesus to help me by sending someone to buy my molds. I prayed a lot always asking and waiting. I did not advertise as I was working everyday and didn't had much time to organize a sale. Then God send the big flood and thankfully the water seeped in the basement.... I know....

If the water came up one extra inch higher, it would have come through the window and the insurance would not have covered the damage as we were insured for seepage only.

We had a sump pump keeping the water level to a minimum and nothing was in danger of getting wet until the power company turned off the power on our grid. The water rose to over 4 feet and the molds were damaged beyond salvage. Shelves buckled under the tremendous weight and all the molds came crashing down. They were totally ruined. It took weeks to let the molds drain so they could be taken outside to dry in the sun. Wet mold are very very heavy.

Heres comes God, with a big fat cheque from the insurance and my damaged molds were taken away. I was thankful to have gotten rid of the a great amount of molds that I wasn't using anymore and receive cash for them. All the ones up in the garage were spared however and I still have them. I need to pray some more but at least they are not in danger of being flooded.

This is my beautiful daughter Christine overflowing with grace. Keeping little brother safe till he's ready to  make his appearance and meet James face to face... Big brother is waiting.

James wants to catch or bust those  giant bubbles and he's having so much fun.

I think that Daddy has more fun playing with Play-Doh than James. Something with wheels is more to his liking.

I bet he wants to push the buttons on the camera or look at himself in the lense. He looks like he has something on his mind. Notice the pick up truck on his shirt.

James love anything with wheels. He love big tractors, firetrucks,  train, cars, buses, trucks and like I said, anything with wheels. I can detect a big smile in mommy's arms. I think he likes his boots too. They look like little tug boats.

James is playing with dadd's tablet. You can see the smily reflection on the tablet.

Daddy is reading him a bedtime story before putting James to bed. He's a little charmer.

James is ready for his big boy bed but still wants to play to the last minute....
For those who asked when I was going away to my daughter... I'm flying to Ottawa on February 25th. I'm hoping for no storm or wind and for a smooth flight. The last time it was cold in the little plane and we had some turbulence and  snow in places and we were enclosed in a white mist for part of the way. I don't like flying in little planes.

I always love your comments and thanks for visiting.

JAMES' FIRST BIRTHDAY

It's been ages since I blogged. It seems that I never have enough time to blog lately. I visit some blogs and leave comments on those who visit my blog first or those special blogger friends, we all have some that we bond strongly with for some reason or other.  Tonight, it's a short post for a change.

Last week was James first birthday and my daughter Christine sent me some photos.

Oh mama, bring on the cake, I'm the Birthday Boy.  What-is-that-on-the-cake?

OOh... it looks pretty....James wanted to touch the fire on the candle. He was more interested in the candle than the cake.

Now how do I go about it. Let me see....  Ah, this is gonna be a piece of cake...

How do you like my blue finger nails. I think it pretty cool.I bet it's tasty too. I think that I may have a sweet tooth or two...

I told you it was gonna be a piece of cake.  Mama makes the best cakes. Now I hope that I don't have to wait another year for another piece. I know that she's saving some for the birthday boy.

                                   ********************************************

Today was my husband George's Birthday.  I had so many errands to run all over town and no time to bake a cake,  I bought him a birthday cake and since he's a practical man, I bought him a big roll of duct tape. I didn't had my camera handy and he didn't want to wait for me to go get it. He dug right into the cake for desert. So I have no pictures.

This evening we were on the phone talking to my daughter long distance for a long time. She called to wish her dad a Happy Birthday. Then my son in law set up a conference call on Skype and we all talked again for quite a while, so of course, I'm late blogging.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment.  JB
